Microsorum Pteropus Java Fern Mat - L

Botanical Name: Microsorum pteropus Common Name(s): Java Fern, Java Fern Mat, Windelov Fern (varies by type) Description: Microsorum Pteropus Java Fern Mat – L features healthy, established Java Fern plants pre-attached to a convenient mat for easy placement in aquariums. This large-format mat creates an instant lush, natural look and works beautifully for covering hardscape, softening backgrounds, or creating a living carpet effect on vertical or horizontal surfaces. The long, narrow green leaves provide graceful movement in the water, adding depth and texture to aquascapes. Its ready-to-place design makes installation simple—just position and enjoy an immediate planted appearance. Care: Java Fern is a hardy, low-maintenance plant ideal for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. It thrives in low to moderate lighting and does not require CO₂ supplementation. The rhizomes should not be buried; instead, they should remain exposed and attached to the mat or hardscape to prevent rot. It prefers temperatures between 68–82°F and adapts well to a wide range of water conditions. Due to its slow to moderate growth rate, occasional trimming of older leaves is sufficient to maintain a clean, healthy look.
